I picked up 2 more today....been on order for months.....back-to-back serial numbers....

I figured that you probably can't buy too many of these.....good investment and they are damn hard to find these days.

I bet they trade for 1 ounce of gold at some point.

Anyone else rat holin" away great fighting pistols like crazy? Pistols, Ammo, PM's.....only see them going up in value and getting harder to find....

I myself been picking up 15rd, and 33rd magazines whenever I could get them for my Glock 19.

Need to definitely pick up magazines though for other Glock calibers, since I'm considering the 22, 23, and/or 36... definitely worth the investment for mags.

Thanks these look perfect. Are they easy to put on yourself? Also fixed or adjustable? I am leaning fixed.

If your 17 is dead on with the factory sights, I would say, save your money and go with the fixed. If you have even a minor issue with elevation, then go adjustable. I'm not going to claim to be an expert gunsmith, but I do my own work, and for others. I will sometimes clamp a slide between blocks or set up something for rifles to hold them steady on wood. I have made a small square oak block a couple inches long just about the width of the sight I need to drive in or out. Get the right size hammer for the job!
Some sights need minor filing with a very fine file.
Some of the tritium sights can be damaged when tapping, so treat each situation seperately.
If you are at all handy and are patient...you should have no problem. Don't rush the job!
Since you are doing a little smithing, you might as well polish a few parts with a dremel and metal polish, while you're at it. I posted this before http://www.alpharubicon.com/mrpoyz/glock/

Is there a package of spare parts for a glock 19 that might come in handy? Sorry for asking, I can shoot a gun but have no idea about the parts and would like to get some spare to have sitting around. What would you recommend? What wares out?

I don't think you need spares for the Glock. Maybe after 10,000 rounds.
I don't really care for the plastic guide rods and the older one's had an issue of chipping. I believe Glock will replace any part that malfunctions.
Now, if you are shooting nothing but +P's, you might use a heavier recoil spring. I have heard some like the titanium guide rods, but they are expensive. There will always be parts available for Glocks.

If I were replacing sights on more than one glock, I'd get the tool.
If I only needed to do it once, I'd rig up something with a couple small C-clamps and blocks of wood.

Go to glocktalk.com and search for the threads about which parts to have on hand, the ones that are most likely to fail, IF they fail. I got extra parts from topglock or glockstore.com and the parts are cheap aside from barrels. But Glock will replace any part if it fails. They are like Snap-On tools, apart from sawing it in half, they will fix it for you or replace it everytime.

I have been doing the same thing with 17-round and 33-round magazines for the G17, and I do not even own a Glock. I figure I will collect one or two along the way.

I have one I bought a long time ago. Kinda pricey but if and when they outlaw them again they will go for MUCH higher. I remember I paid a HUNDRED bucks for a 17 round magazine during the ban and it wasnt even a drop free. Getem while you can...
